A clear head, a sunny smile, That's our gal Friday all the while. 50th Reunion Commentary: After two years at Whitman College, spent my junior year at UW and, eventually, graduated (BA) from St Mary's College of California at Moraga. Had 3 years of banking experience on the west and east coasts before beginning a long, varied and exciting career with the federal government, living and working in Washington, DC, Turkey, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam and Spain. Married in 1976. Blessed with two stepchildren who both have progeny, so I get to be a Grand-mere, one of my life's goals. Stayed in Sacramento, California, after my husband died, and retired early. My volunteer work includes: Serving on United Way boards, teaching English conversation in a Polish village on the Byelorussia border, establishing a Women's Investment Club, Neighborhood Watch street leader and newsletter editor, and being an active member of a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) for disasters. Our August class reunion conflicts with a scheduled 2-month vacation, cruising from L.A. to Australia via Hawaii, Samoa, Fiji, Tahiti, and New Zealand, so I will miss it. I shall raise a glass of wine, or two, on board ship to celebrate our 50 th !
