50th Reunion Commentary: I have been married to IdaGay for 41 years. We have three children, Mike, Mark and Scott, and three grandchildren. I worked for Boeing Aerospace Company for 36 years before retiring in 1995. Since then we have been frequent travelers both in this country and internationally. As a retiree, I hardly have enough time to indulge in my major interests of digital photography, computer, reading and, of course, traveling. |

50th Reunion Commentary: Working as a fry cook at the Epicure Restaurant (White Center) and at Bethlehem Steel I finally graduated from the University of Washington in Chemical Engineering (1960). Worked at Hanford until 1965, continued in the nuclear field with the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) in New York City and transferred to Washington DC in 1970. Retired in 2000 from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the regulatory agency for the commercial industry. I have three sons, two in New York City and one in Kentucky . Since retirement I have been doing some much needed remodeling of my house and volunteering at the Library of Congress.

50th Reunion Commentary: Having fallen in love with the Sonoran Desert during a visit, I moved to Scottsdale two years ago. I'm building a new life for myself following the death of my husband John, after forty one years of marriage, and after retiring from USO Puget Sound Area as its' executive director. I have two daughters and a grandson. My favorite pastimes include painting, writing, traveling and volunteering. Currently, I'm taking a Spanish class, dancing lessons, and learning to play the guitar. I'm active in church, and enjoy many fun times with family and friends, Life is good. |

50th Reunion Commentary: I came to Alaska in 1959, the year Alaska became a state. We celebrated statehood at the famous Red Dog Salon, which was a blast. I came here on a contract with Alaska Communication Systems, where I worked for 10 years. I married Bob Lesher, a native Juneauite, in 1960. We have one girl and two boys. My next job was with the Dept. of Public Safety from 1971 to 1990, when I retired. We bought property and live three miles out side the fishing village of Pelican . We have no roads or public utilities, we produce our own electricity. We do, however, have internet service. We commute to Pelican by motor boat. We live off the land, salmon, halibut, crab, shrimp, black tail deer provide protein. Blueberries ,raspberries & salmon berries, our fruit. In the winter we go to Mesa AZ.

50th Reunion Commentary: Married to Carole 49 years. Four children, Scott, Mark, Lisa and Sally Jo. Six grandchildren, one great grandchild. I have been a meat cutter (10 yrs), owned 2 small grocery stores (8 yrs), owned a gutter installing business (30 yrs), and presently own a gutter component manufacturing business, marketing my own patents (23 yrs), obviously most overlapped, I'm not 100 yrs old

50th Reunion Commentary: Married Sharon Parfitt, (West Seattle Class of 1956) in 1960. We have two children, a daughter Kristen and a son Brian and two grandchildren - Troy 10 and Mackenzie 9. I graduated from Seattle University and the UW Graduate School of Business Administration Management Program. I spent eight years in the Coast Guard Reserve and retired from Boeing Company in 1995, where I spent 38 years, primarily in the Finance Organization. I like to travel, garden and attend the grandchildren's activities. We spend two to three months a year in Kailua-Kona where we have a condo on the ocean .

50th Reunion Commentary: Married to Shirlee for 26 years. Between us: six kids, fifteen grandkids, five great grandkids. We currently spend six months a year in Arizona . Very active in Senior Tennis. Photography courses at Highline were the start of a rewarding career and two degrees in Motion Picture Production and Communications. Feeling that time was more valuable than money, we retired in 1985 (age 48) after 30 years writing, editing & producing industrial and documentary films and training materials.
